i don’t know why

but all of a sudden i became swept up in a wave of nostalgia. maybe it’s because today, i felt the most class pride i’ve felt since my first day at lynbrook. maybe it’s because it hit me that in just about 9 weeks we are all out of this place we call a hellhole but to which we secretly owe the past four years of our lives. maybe it’s because i passed out for 6 hours once i got home and now i can finally think clearly about the immediate. against all rationale, i was hoping i’d be able to leave here with a minimal amount of emotional heartache, but that’s just not possible is it. you can’t go through a place for so long without feeling some sort of attachment, no matter how disillusioned you became, how tiresome people could get, how overwhelming and monotonous everything was at times. i’ll miss lynbrook. i’ll miss my class and everyone who affected my life in some way. but i still don’t know why i’m tearing up right now.

sigh. time to eat ice cream and watch modern family reruns

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.
