thanksgiving gatherings
i’m on my laptop pretending to work on college apps while blasting coldplay through my earphones, eating my second of four turkey dinners this break. kids are playing video games, someone’s strumming switchfoot on his guitar and i’m lounging on the couch, enjoying a certain kind of solitude in the midst of other people. life is good.
